At AERO Friedrichshafen 2026, Zuri presented its display aircraft in public for the first time, a full-size, non-flying representation of the Technology Demonstrator 2.0, or TD 2.0. Visitors could walk around it and read the form and proportions of the hybrid-electric tiltrotor in three dimensions.
Those who have followed Zuri at AERO have watched the design come together across four years: a concept in virtual reality in 2023, the airframe skeleton in 2024, an upgraded testbed in 2025, and now the display aircraft itself.
A few weeks later, the display aircraft came home. At Maker Faire Prague, Zuri showed it to a different audience: makers, students, engineers, and families. For a program that began here with a single sketch, it was a fitting homecoming.
The display is a stand-in. The real TD 2.0, the second technology demonstrator in Zuri's program, is taking shape in our Prague workshop, where it will validate the hybrid-electric powertrain, the tiltrotor mechanism, and the transition control laws that carry forward to the larger regional aircraft. Flight testing will begin in late 2026, flown unmanned.
The video follows the display aircraft from the workshop to AERO Friedrichshafen and Maker Faire Prague.
