Aerospace innovation in the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has more than a century of aerospace tradition: the first Czech aircraft flew in 1911. Today the country is home to dozens of aircraft manufacturers, concentrated in general aviation and the ultralight segment, and to universities that teach aircraft engineering, aerodynamics, and design.
