What the money builds

One aircraft proves all of it.

Technology Demonstrator 2.0 integrates the whole architecture in one full-scale aircraft: the series-hybrid powertrain and eight tilting rotors together, designed to fly hover, transition, and cruise. It is in ground test in Prague now, its flight-test campaign is what this tranche funds, and what it proves becomes the uncrewed cargo aircraft.

Vertical flight is flown at full scale and transition at subscale, on flight controls proven across every airframe. Flying all of it together at full scale is TD 2.0's job, and the round is priced before that flight.

About the round.

What is Zuri raising, and what does it fund?

A €6M first tranche of the Series A, of which €1.1M is committed. It funds Technology Demonstrator 2.0 and its full flight test campaign, and carries the uncrewed cargo aircraft toward its first airframe. More than fifteen aircraft have flown on €7.6M raised, so the architecture is proven before the product, and first flight is the next validation milestone: this tranche enters before the whole architecture has flown.

What approvals does the cargo aircraft need?

The uncrewed cargo aircraft operates under EASA's Specific category, with operations risk-assessed through SORA and authorized by the competent national aviation authority, at a fraction of a type certificate's cost. That is what makes cargo first work commercially. The passenger type certificate for the six-seat aircraft comes last, funded increasingly by revenue rather than dilution.

What are the main risks?

The program carries eight tracked engineering risks and six are retired; the open ones are the flight-test campaign itself and the cargo interface, which is still in definition. Beyond those: certification timing under EASA rests with the authority, and market entry across 2027 to 2029 depends on a flight-test campaign that has not started. Why has Zuri needed so little capital?

€7.6M raised since 2018, against comparable programs that have spent €300M and more. Design, build, and flight test all happen in-house in Prague, so iterations cost weeks rather than subcontracts, and engineering costs run below Western European rates in a country with a century-old aerospace industry to hire from. Subscale aircraft prove what they can before anything is built at full scale.
